David E. Kelley is the godfather of creative and zany television programming unlike anything else you see on the major broadcast networks. That's probably why he got Michelle Pfeiffer. Are they still together? I need to give her a call. If anyone knows her phone number, e-mail me.
Boston Legal is a spinoff of Kelley's hit ABC drama The Practice. The incredibly talented cast includes James Spader as attorney Alan Shore, and of course William Shatner as the eccentric Denny Crane. Spader is absolutely excellent as a bit of an immoral and backstabbing lawyer whose ruthlessness is only matched by Shatner's performance. We also have the always brilliant Candace Bergen.
