Jerry, oh Jerry. What are you doing? You are aware that your television show is without a doubt the greatest comedy program of all time. I guess that's hard to top. No matter what you do, people will nitpick it to death and compare it to your original observational genius. But I don't think anybody expected you to do this. Bee Movie? Really?
That's not to say the movie is bad or anything. Its a decent family flick, and has a few laughs for adults. But its just weird that he'd choose this project. I bet he got paid like a mutha.
Barry B. Benson (Seinfeld) is a bee who just graduated from college and is disillusioned with his lone career choice: making honey. Barry discovers humans have been stealing and eating the honey and subsequently decides to file a class action lawsuit against humans.
The movie tries with limited success to incorporate elements that will keep children (and adults) from becoming restless. Since there's really no action to speak of, the animators trump up a little, such as a car ride in the bee hive that's like a roller coaster. Or a short sequence when Vanessa'(Renee Zellwegger)'s friend Ken (Patrick Warburton) tries to kill Barry.
Not really worth seeing. Sorry, Mr. Seinfeld. I still love you, though. I watch Seinfeld at least 15 times a day (its only on 25 or 30 times).
