| |  Its good to see a show that doesn't unrealistically portray beauty as the end all and be all to adult life, especially when it comes to young women. This can be very unhealthy to the female psyche, ya heard? America Ferrara plays Betty Suarez, who is a sweet and hard-working girl who writes for Mode, a high-powered fashion magazine. The only reason she was hired to be the secretary of the publisher's son is because the publisher believed this way his son would not sleep with his secretary. Her boss is named Daniel, and her hard work and dedication earns his respect. She navigates her way through the rough and tumble, dog eat dog world of fashion and publishing.
