Supernatural is the WB show created by Eric Kripke. Actually its now the CW show. It stars Jared Padalecki as Sam Winchester. Him and his brother Dean (Jensen Ackles) had a troubled childhood. They spent most of their time investigating paranormal experiences and hunting ghosts with their father.
Sam has moved on and forced himself to forget his past. But one day his brother Dean comes to Sam with some disheartening news. Their father, the master evil hunter, has disappeared. So, of course, the brothers must take up the fight they left so long ago to find their father. They undertake a journey into the netherworld of supernatural activity.
The show is a bit like the X-Files. Dean and Sam are principally hunting for their father, but along the way get caught up in all sorts of creepy paranormal activity that their expertise is needed to solve. One particularly effective episode is "Phantom Traveler" (episode 4). A plane crashes under mysterious circumstances and the brothers discover that a demon spirit is forcing the passengers and crew to crash the plane. They take it upon themselves to exorcise the demon while the plane is tumbling towards the ground. Its a very well crafted episode.

The picture in matted widescreen preserving the original aspect ration of the television show. The audio is Dolby Digital. Both the picture and audio are only a slight step above the quality of the television show.
Supernatural is one of the few decent shows the WB has put out in years. I had some issues with it, but nothing major. All in all, its better than what most of the major networks put out.
