Burbank, CA, March 27, 2008 – Pray the phone doesn’t ring this April 22nd when One Missed Call creeps onto DVD from Warner Home Video. Edward Burns stars in this tech-savvy supernatural thriller directed by Eric Vallete.

When a chain of people receive terrifying cell phone messages of their own final fatal moments, the race is on to unravel the mystery behind the deadly calls. Beth Raymond (Shannyn Sossamon) is traumatized when she witnesses the gruesome deaths of two friends, just days apart. Together with detective Jack Andrews (Edward Burns), Beth works to discover the truth, just as her own cell phone rings an ominous tune…

One Missed Call is directed by Eric Valette (Sable Noir) and features performances from Edward Burns (Saving Private Ryan, 27 Dresses), Shannyn Sossamon (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, 40 Days and 40 Nights) and Azura Skye (TV’s CSI: Miami, Bandits)


One Missed Call will be available on DVD for $28.98 SRP in widescreen and full screen formats as well as on Blu-ray for $35.99 and HD-DVD/DVD combo for $35.99. The HD/DVD Combo will be available May 13th.

SYNOPSIS

It happens to one. Then another. And another. College students discover eerie voicemail messages on their cell phones. Each call comes from the near future. Each call has the chilling voice of the student during his or her last moments alive. And each call comes true.

Terror is One Missed Call away in this got-your-number shocker based on the hit Japanese thriller Chakushin ari. Does the viral spree of calls have a single source? Is there something that links the victims? Psych student Beth Raymond (Shannyn Sossamon) and detective Jack Andrews (Ed Burns) scramble for answers. And they’re working fast. Because Beth just discovered an ominous message.
