Sony Pictures Home Entertainment announces the September debut of catalog titles The Quick and the Dead and Silverado coming to high definition Blu-ray Disc on September 8, 2009. Both titles are BD-Live™ enabled, allowing users to go beyond the discs via an Internet-connected Blu-ray Disc player to view updatable content, register for the Sony Pictures Blu-ray Club and provide feedback through SPHE surveys. Additionally both titles are specifically remastered for Blu-ray™ with lossless audio and come equipped with the recently announced BD-Live feature movieIQ. With movieIQ, fans can immediately access continuously-updated information on the cast and crew and explore relevant trivia such as production facts, music and soundtrack information all tied to scenes in the movie.
THE QUICK AND THE DEAD – Available September 8
In this edgy and darkly humorous Western, a mysterious young woman (Sharon Stone) rides into the lawless town of Redemption to settle an old score that has haunted her since she was a child. She becomes swept up in a deadly quick-draw tournament and in order to win her revenge, she must compete in the contest where gunslingers (Russell Crowe and Leonardo DiCaprio) from all over put their lives on the line for fame and fortune.

Get ready for some horse-ridin', gun-totin', whiskey-drinkin' fun in this digitally remastered collector's edition of Lawrence Kasdan's Silverado, featuring a never-before-seen featurette with interviews from the cast and the filmmakers. The spirited Western stars Kevin Kline, Scott Glenn, Kevin Costner and Danny Glover as four unwitting heroes who cross paths on their journey to the sleepy town of Silverado. Little do they know the town where their family and friends reside has been seized by a corrupt sheriff and his murderous posse. It's up to the sharp-shooting foursome to save the day.
